Description
Berlin Tegel airport is way past its prime, and travelers are better off coming in with low expectations.
While the Air France lounge is a haven away from the cramped terminal, it offers little in the way of amenities – it lacks a bathroom, the furniture has seen better days, space is tight at peak times, and the food offerings are meager. On the bright side, the drink selection is relatively strong and includes Evian water, an espresso machine and assorted syrups, as well as a selection of wines and liquor.
Note that like all lounges at Berlin Tegel airport, the Air France lounge is located before security, so be sure to leave ahead of your boarding time.

Very basic lounge. Not even a bathroom in the lounge you have to go back down 3 floors. Amenities of food selection are dismal. Mostly pre packaged items....

The Air France-KLM lounge at TXL is a nice place to wait for check-in time. Because Tegel is a small airport, it also doesn't have lots of space. So if you...

Overall ratings
Interior is ok and has daylight but still the whole place can be considered as average at best.
Basic selection of breakfast items, choice of beverages is ok.
Free WIFI and some newspapers and magazines. Public restrooms are outsite the lounge two levels down.
– Little lounge. Can be less comfortable when a coughing person is sitting opposite you like I had this morning.
– Very bad: there are no toilets. You have to use the public toilets two levels below.
– Very positive: the staff is clearly doing their best to offer a personal service.
– Food options are little. Coffee is not special.
– Little bites where personally served by the staff.
WLAN is working but to slow.
The Air France Lounge is one level above the BA (oneworld) lounge – landside . Small lounge – offering only basics – but plenty of seatings available. The staff at the reception was very friedly.
Nothing sprecial – just comparable to the food offered in the BA lounge.
WLAN did work.
Restrooms outside (same for BA Lounge) at Level 1
Lounge is not too big, but nice interior. Good selection of fresh food and beverages. Friendly and very helpful staff.
Large selection of cooled food (cheese, yoghurts, sandwiches, cooked eggs, wraps), warm sausages with potato salad, many cakes, chocolates, crisps, salty snacks. Also good selection of beverages, everything is filled up immediately!
Good selection of French, English, Dutch and German magazines and newspapers. No toilet inside the lounge. Free Wifi.
Lounge was quite empty, plenty of seats available. Lady at the front-desk was very nice.
Selection of food and beverages. Nothing special, at least for breakfast.
Free WIFI, some newspapers and magazines.
