Changsha airport features a dozen generic Joyflight First and Business Class lounges operated by the airport authority for premium and VIP passengers. (China Southern, the main tenant, is the only airline with dedicated clubs.)
Located throughout the terminal, the lounges all offer substantially the same basic amenities, and there is no reason to seek a specific lounge over another. The No. 10 lounge is situated immediately to the right of the 00-06 security checkpoint. It is also accessible through the 07-15 checkpoint; and select premium and VIP guests enter through a dedicated private security checkpoint.
No. 10 First/Business Class/VIP Lounge CSX design
Located on a mezzanine overlooking the check-in hall and the concourse, the Joyflight No. 10 Business and First Class lounge at Changsha airport receives ample daylight, but lacks any noteworthy views.
The industrial and functional design is unremarkable. There is a small seating area with a dozen large, oversized seats around coffee tables, a single round dining table, and plenty of empty space.
If it weren’t for the constant and bothersome noise from the adjacent security checkpoint, the club would be remarkably quiet—with so many VIP lounges in direct proximity of the gates, passengers are unlikely to congregate at a specific location.
No. 10 First/Business Class/VIP Lounge CSX amenities
The Joyflight No. 10 Business and First Class lounge at Changsha airport is typical of most lounges at second-tier airports, with only a basic set of amenities.
Patrons will find a selection of shrink-wrapped snacks, fruit, as well as bottled water, tea, and soda. There are no alcoholic beverages.
The lounge does not offer a dedicated Wi-Fi access points; patrons are directed to use the airport’s public service, with supports authentication through WeChat and SMS (both local and international numbers are accepted.)
A large portion of the space is dedicated to a tea shop, complete with an elegant traditional-looking tasting area. Unless shopping for tea was on your to-do list, it’s unclear what the point of a private tea shop is, and whether the location sees any business.
Other amenities include a single computer with a printer, as well as a selection of newspapers and magazines.
