Overall ratings
The staff do their best: be nice to them, it’s not their fault. But this is a shabby lounge with a dismal food offering, limited bar (especially mixers), no bathroom, and never any working internet. If you hanker for generic spirits and watered-down, reheated curry, this is the place.
I used this lounge three times in the last 12 months, and it was consistently bad. The food offering is pathetic, beer, wine and spirits are of the lowest quality, and in crowded times the place gets shabby fast. There are not many lounges in this world without restrooms, this is one of them. I have used Aspire lounges in Manchester and Bristol, which were both much better. Not worth paying for.
Very disappointed not enough seating , it’s ok if you just want to drink alcohol , if you want something nice to eat this wouldn’t be the place , been to the aspire lounge in Bristol and it was excellent .
Visited on 1st July … won’t be visiting again. Staff rude and ignorant, especially the gentleman there. The way he spoke to a disabled lady on a scooter was absolutely disgusting. Breakfast offering was terrible. Not enough food out for the amount of people in there. They were putting out four or 5 bacon rolls at a time and they were gone in seconds. no other hot food available. Awful, not value for money, not a great start to the holiday. Expensive overpriced and under catering for customer numbers. Not a patch on other lounges we have used. Steer clear
I have recently used Aspire lounge in Birmingham Airport. Sadly, the service has been extremely bad. Not only that, but what was available for a small meal or snack was absolutely pathetic. There was soup but NO bread. The coffee was of very bad quality. The cutlery was PLASTIC. After a thorough search, I have managed to find a METAL cutlery which was the worst ever I have seen in my whole life with rough spoon edges, or twisted and corrugated knife edge.
In addition, the staff was lacking skills of how to serve their customers and certainly unfriendly.
When I wanted to use their rest room, I was told they do not have any and confirmed that I have to go out of the lounge to use the general Airport rest room. Say no more!
