The only lounge at Bishkek international airport (besides the more exclusive VIP Terminal), the Business Lounge welcomes premium customers of Aeroflot and S7 Airlines, as well as members of lounge access programs Priority Pass, Diners Club, and DragonPass. It should be noted that despite operating two daily flights between Bishkek and Istanbul, Turkish Airlines does not have an agreement with Bishkek airport regarding lounge access, and thus Turkish passengers will not be admitted regardless of frequent flyer status or class of service.
The Business Lounge is located steps away from security and customs, on the mezzanine level on the right side.
Business Lounge FRU design
A spacious room with high ceilings overlooking the tarmac, the Business Lounge at Bishkek airport is a stark contrast with the cramped and busy public concourse. The décor, while falling short of being truly modern, is fresh, with light tones, elegant wooden finishes, and planters that double as privacy dividers.
Early in the mornings and late at nights, the lounge is kept oddly dim. Perhaps in an attempt to save electricity, only the bar area is brightly lit, while most of the seating area is plunged into darkness. The crude CFC lighting adds bleak undertones to the ensemble. During the day, however, the space receives ample daylight, thanks to a long window wall which reveals views of the tarmac and airport grounds.
The spacious layout accommodates just a few dozen customers, and the lounge is rarely packed. The comfortable oversized seats are private and cozy, and all outfitted with two power outlets. Every seat also comes with a side table or coffee table, though the configuration isn’t especially convenient for laptop use.
Coat and suit hangers dot the lounge, and you’ll probably want to use them since the club is kept relatively warm as per local customs—the staff makes parsimonious use of the air conditioner.
Business Lounge FRU amenities
The modest buffet features a selection of bite-sized snacks and canapes, finger food, and fruit. In the morning, the meager offerings include small hot meat puff pastries, pancakes, and cheese, which are all left unattended in the over-heated space. It’s best to stay away. There is also ice cream (which, fortunately, is actually kept frozen) available for 200 com, though it’s unclear if the staff bothers charging customers.
The beverage selection includes mineral water in a cooler, drip coffee, powder-based juice (stay away, too), and a single bottle of red wine. Fortunately, there is also a well-stocked staffed bar, and the option to order espresso.
Secure Wi-Fi is available, though it’s barely usable, even with few guests around. There is also a small business corner with one computer and a printer—just don’t try to use them before sunrise as the lights are off.
The spacious, modern, and spotless bathroom is a welcome surprise. There are only two stalls, but are both outfitted with a sink, a bidet, and ample space to change.
Business Lounge FRU bottom line
The Business Lounge at Bishkek airport is a basic but quiet and comfortable facility. The club is clean and spacious unlike the terminal; the bathroom is modern and spotless; and with few customers outside S7 and Aeroflot departure times, the Business Lounge is also exquisitely private.
We do recommend staying away from the food, however. Espresso and bottled water are the way to go.
- The expansive views over the runway.
- The comfortable seats.
- The barista service.
- The meager selection of unattended food items.
- The dim environment at dawn and dusk.

Overall ratings
FRU is a relatively small airport, and the business lounge is a nice respite from the hustle of transiting passengers moving through the crowded terminal. As a small airport, however, it also has a small lounge. So manage expectations accordingly. The food and beverage selection is limited, but both are delightful.
The lounge also has a nice selection of Kyrgyz souvenirs decorating the space and making last minute gift purchase a breeze without fighting for the best pick of Duty Free.
Overall: A peaceful and enjoyable modern space, perfect for the busy traveler on their way from/through Bishkek.
It is the only lounge ever that charges for coffee!!
Alcohol too.
