Overall ratings
To get into the lounge, do not use the standard security but pass the Austrian/Lufthansa Business Check-in counter on the left. There you will find priority security for employees and premium passengers with lounge access only, somewhat hidden behind the check-in counter.
Staff at the lounge is friendly and attentive. You get either a small breakfast or at noon and afternoon sousages or Wiener Schnitzel. There is just one hot dish but also some sandwiches. Not a lot options for vegetarians or vegans though. At least for vegetarians they have mostly some cheese sandwiches and some sweets. Due to the size of the lounge, small selection of beverages.
The lounge is always very clean and has good furniture. I don’t want to miss it on my regular flights from Salzburg – as the standard waiting hall at Salzburg airport can get crowded from time to time.
They can double the size of the lounge in high demand by giving access to an area which is normally an extra space for VIP travellers. This space has recently upgraded and is now same look-and-feel as the Lounge. So they have mostly more than the mentioned 25 places to seat.
You do not need to leave the lounge before boarding shows up on the screens. Your gate is literally 1 to maximum 2 minutes walking from the Lounge.
You need to go through the separate security check which is left side from the first check in counter, easy to miss. But that is great as this security check is always quite empty.
Small lounge with good breakfast and cold snacks for lunch. Nice furniture, good selection of drinks.
As it is a small lounge you have also just a small selection of food. The breakfast is good. Good quality.
No printer, no showers, just a small but quality lounge. Very clean and welcoming.
