The Polish airline’s first location outside Poland aims to bring, in the carrier’s own words, “a small piece of Poland at Chicago Airport.” Polish dishes aside, the club is rather mainstream, but it sure is a welcome addition to the paltry and dormant lounge scene at Chicago O’Hare Terminal 5.
The LOT Business Lounge welcomes premium LOT Polish Airlines premium passengers, as well as Star Alliance Gold customers flying with any Star Alliance carrier.
Spreading across 6,600 square feet, with seating for 165 guests, the club boasts two dramatic walls of windows overlooking the tarmac. The space is outfitted with comfortable seats, enticing couches, a variety of dining tables, and convenient table-top seats, all with power points at arm’s length.
Amenities include a hot buffet, fast Wi-Fi, shower suites, and a prayer room.
If you’re flying in Business Class and have ample time, you may want to visit the United Polaris Lounge in Terminal 1 instead and enjoy the complimentary full-service restaurant, but this requires a lengthy and cumbersome trek to/from Terminal 1.
