The Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Singapore airport Terminal 2 welcomes Star Alliance Gold passengers flying in economy. (Business Class passengers have access to the nearby SilverKris lounge.)

The ambiance is soothing, but dark. The lounge lacks windows, and thus daylight. The seating layout is reasonably sparse, with side tables at every seat.

The complimentary buffet features an all-day selection of snacks, appetizers, hot entrees, and desserts, with a focus on Asian fare.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is naturally available, along with shared computers, and a selection of newspapers and magazines.

In a stunning omission, the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Gold Lounge lacks a bathroom. (Public facilities are available around the corner in the concourse.) As such, it also lacks showers.

The Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Singapore airport Terminal 2 meets basic needs and offers a substantial selection of food and beverages, but the limited amenities highlight Airlines’ choice to favor premium customers over Star Alliance Gold passengers. Priority Pass members may prefer to use the adjacent SATS Premier Lounge for showers.

    Unbelievable : no shower in a StarAlliance Gold lounge, which means having to change terminal to get a shower before a long night flight. This is simply unacceptable.
