United Club – Washington Reagan National (DCA)
Perhaps the designers of Washington Reagan National Airport intended to shield the United Club away from the masses by tucking it away, on the upper floor, in what seems like a corner of the terminal without proper signage. It worked: if you can find it (hint: walk to gates 10-14 then go upstairs), the United Club is a lovely surprise, a peaceful oasis with plenty of natural light and a cozy layout.

The United Club at Washington Reagan National Airport has a circular shape with high ceilings and a long window wall that lets plenty of natural light in.
Guests will find dining tables, booth seating, and large inviting seats with a side table outfitted with a lamp and power and USB outlets. The club was refurbished early 2015, and the furniture and carpet were replaced. Unfortunately, the layout makes no attempt at capitalizing on the tarmac views—the seats at the periphery of the lounge face the interior of the club.

The United Club at Washington Reagan National Airport serves domestic flights only, and features a set of essential amenities.
Breakfast includes a continental selection, along with a yoghurt bar and oatmeal. Throughout the day, soups, salads, snacks, and appetizers are available. Soft drinks and house alcoholic beverages are complimentary, while premium drinks are available for purchase.
United Club DCA bottom line
While modest, the United Club at Washington Reagan National Airport is peaceful and enjoyable. It stands in stark contrast with the rundown lounges that United operates at their nearby Dulles hub.

- The slightly odd location, though it helps the club remain quiet.

- United Premier Gold, Premium Platinum, Premier 1K, and Global Services members departing on an intercontinental flight operated by a Star Alliance carrier in any class of service (+1 guest)
- Star Alliance Gold Members (except United Premier members and above) departing on a domestic or international flight operated by a Star Alliance carrier in any class of service (+1 guest)
- United Club one-time pass holders (subject to capacity restrictions) (no guests)
- Active U.S. military personnel departing on a same day United flight (+family members)
- Air Canada Maple Leaf Club members departing on a flight operated by a Star Alliance carrier (no guests for Air Canada Maple Leaf Club North America members, +1 guest for Air Canada Maple Leaf Club Worldwide members)
Notes:
- Passengers in domestic First class do not receive United Club access. United Business passengers flying on a Premium Service flight between San Francisco/Boston, San Francisco/Newark, or Los Angeles/Newark receive access at the origin and destination of their premium transcontinental flight.
- A government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license, passport or military ID) may be required.

Overall ratings
Not crowded on a Thursday at 7:30am. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, pastries, fruit and oatmeal on offer. Sunny, pleasant room.
Loved this club – easily the most architecturally interesting one I’ve been to. Staff was great, awesome views of the runway, and the high ceiling with wooden wall architecture was so cool!
The staff – Linda (hope I get the right name, she was wonderful, alway help her customers the best she can.
