The United Club at Las Vegas McCarran airport has the distinction of being the only airline club serving Sin City: other airlines rely on third party lounges. A former Continental President’s Club, the United Club occupies a prime location above Concourse D, and is accessible through a—slow—elevator between gates 33 and 35.
United Club LAS design
The United Club delights with its expansive, airy and luminous space. Shaped as a half circle, the lounge boasts terrific 180 degree views of the airport grounds, Las Vegas strip and mountains in the distance, thanks to a window wall that runs along the entire outer perimeter of the room.
The club features an open and spacious layout, with a variety of seating options conducive to both work and relaxation. In the center are comfortable seats around coffee tables, with indoor plants that double as informal privacy dividers. On the left when entering is a dining area flanked by a bar, with counter-style seating along the window for a prime view on the action. On the opposite side of the lounge, to the right, is additional table-top seating for laptop users.
The furniture has seen better days and is due for a refurbishment, but the sunlight baked space feels fresh and welcoming overall. Power outlets are widely available in the ground.
Look up at the wavy ceiling and you’ll notice twinkling stars, in true (but subtle and tasteful) Vegas fashion.
United Club LAS amenities
The United Club at Las Vegas airport offers a relatively set of amenities, in line with most domestic United Clubs.
A breakfast spread is available in the morning, with items such as yoghurt and berries or cream of rice. Soups, salads, breads and snacks are offered throughout the day. The fare is unpretentious but tasty and the selection is enough for a substantial snack, though it’s no substitute for a meal. Soft drinks, coffee and tea, house wine and well drinks are complimentary, while premium drinks may be purchased at the bar.
Business amenities include a fax, a printer, and a selection of newspapers and magazines. There is also a small unattended baggage storage area immediately to the right of the reception desk.
United Club LAS bottom line
Overall, the United Club at Las Vegas McCarran airport is a pleasant lounge that meets all basic needs. It is an enjoyable, clean, spacious and quiet space to relax or catch up on work. With relatively few patrons—Las Vegas is mostly a leisure destination and only served by domestic routes—the key strength of the United Club is the privacy and quietness that it offers, away from the constant presence of billboards, slot machines and sometimes rowdy crowds.
If you do happen to have access to the nearby American Express Centurion Lounge (by gate D1), the latter boasts a much more vibrant scene and an unparalleled range of amenities—but it’s bound to be busy.
- The calm and privacy.
- The expansive view on the Las Vegas Strip and mountains.
- The slow elevator and lack of stairs.

Overall ratings
Very pedestrian lounge for a great city. Hardly anything in the name of food or snacks.
Too small for the number of travelers.
Food options are pretty thin, cheese, bread, soup.
Nice, spacious and bright club, but with limited amenities.
