Overview

The Virgin Australia Lounge at Melbourne International Airport features a contemporary, luminous and airy design created by Australian architectural firm Tonkin Zulaikha Greer. The space is divided into several different areas including a quiet zone for meetings, a dedicated quiet library retreat area, and a high bar.

The club sports high-end furniture including plush chairs by Walter Knoll, and a veranda area overlooking the tarmac. The lounge is located outside security but offers direct access to the security checkpoint.

The food and beverage selection includes all-day barista-pulled coffee, a salad bar, hot pies, pizza, soup and cold cuts. Alcohol is served after noon.

Amenities include newspapers and magazines, bathrooms with locally-made organic skincare products from Grown, a shower suite, two meeting rooms, and various business facilities.

Note: The Virgin Australia Lounge used to be located landside (before security.) Since August 2022, the club is situated inside the secure zone.

Notes:

Guests do not need to be travelling with Virgin Australia.
Virgin Australia Lounge and Velocity Platinum and Gold members can bring up to two children aged 3 to 12 years in addition to their guest allowance at no cost. There is no charge for infants 2 years old and under.
