Overview
Operated by Munich airport on behalf of the airlines departing from Terminal 1, Airport Lounge World welcomes all passengers departing to destinations outside Europe’s Schengen zone. The club welcomes premium guests of select airlines, Priority Pass members, as well as all customers on a pay-in basis.

Airport Lounge World replaces the former Atlantic Lounge.

The spacious, two-level lounge facility, with more than 1,700 square meters of floor space, has comfortable seating for around 200 people in pleasant working and resting areas. The hot and cold food choices on the buffet, complemented by a wide selection of beverages, vary according to the time of day.

Large-screen TVs offer information and entertainment on local and international channels. A plentiful selection of print media is also on hand. Rounding off the amenities are showers, meditation rooms and a separate smoking area.

    I was three times in the last 2 years. Everytime the experience was good to very good. Reception staff was very freindly esepecially once i was with my kids. Food is very good. It is not gourment but it is good enough for a meal with a variety among meat and vegetarian options. Dessert is available, snacks too. All kind of drinks. All in all, a very solid, very clean and bright lounge. Besides the emirates lounge it is the best lounge in Terminal 1 in MUC.

    Had to double check I was looking at the correct lounge based on some of these reviews! I guess there’s no pleasing some people. An absolutely fantastic lounge, with all the amenities you could hope for and a beautifully relaxing atmosphere. Only thing I could have (quite selfishly!) hoped for were some more English-language magazines!

    That’s too bad that the other reviewers had such a bad experience. Fortunately, our experience was completely different. The staff was very friendly and attentive to us. The food was very good, with a wide variety of hot food and drinks. It was very clean and not crowded at all. Overall, our experience here was the best we’ve had in any lounge so far.

    You cannot call the food in the lounge food. Prob one of the worst lounges I have visited in the world. Clean yes – waiting yes – but the rest no!

    My husband and I have been traveling for the last 5 months and have spent significant time at airport lounges from Los Angeles to Bangkok to New Zealand, etc. This is the absolute worst experience we have ever had! Don’t go to this lounge! The service staff was extremely rude and one made so much noise clearing plates and throwing away bottles that we could see everyone in the lounge cringing at the disturbance. Want to relax between flights? This is NOT the place! Choose another lounge. 😕
