The Berlin Airport Club Lounge at Berlin Tegel is the airport’s only independent lounge. The club welcomes all passengers for a fee regardless of airline and class of service, as well as members of lounge access programs such as Priority Pass. The facility is located landside (before security) and a boarding pass is not required, so it may also be used while waiting for an incoming passenger, or as a basic arrivals lounge.
The location isn’t particularly obvious — in Terminal A, look for the Service Center sign in the vicinity of the airline checkin desks, then make your way upstairs past the various offices and booths. The hallway that leads to the door is somewhere between seedy and run down — pretty much in line with the rest of the terminal.
Berlin Airport Club Lounge TXL design
Physically, the lounge is a rather plain rectangular room. The furniture is comprised of worn out lounge chairs and glass coffee tables, which stand atop a depressing, awfully stained brown carpet. The saving grace is the large windows, which let plenty of natural light in (though the views on the airport grounds and parking lot are rather underwhelming.)
Berlin Airport Club Lounge TXL amenities
In the back is a small business center with three cubicles, including one with a PC and printer, while next to the buffet area are a couple dining tables with lamps. Unfortunately, power outlets are nowhere to be found except in the business center.
The buffet offers a number of basic snacks, as well as a pretty large selection of self-serve beverages, including soft drinks, beer, and hard alcohol.
Other amenities include a few newspapers and magazines, as well as complimentary, secure Wi-Fi. There is no bathroom, however.
Berlin Airport Club Lounge TXL bottom line
Overall, the Berlin Airport Club Lounge at Berlin Tegel is a tired and worn out facility, which you’ll want to avoid if possible. It is pleasantly quiet and provides a haven away from the ugly concourse and gate areas, and offers a pretty good selection of complimentary beverages. But the faded design, limited food and lack of power outlets make the value of the admission fee highly questionable.
- The quiet and peaceful space.
- The beverage selection.
- The worn furniture and stained carpet.
- The lack of power outlets.
- The lack of bathroom.

Very basic food, prepacked snacks. Coffee and soft drinks ok, a few beers. Quite, but very basic
Very basic lounge. No hot food.
(gave 2/5 but the guy who was serving was very nice)

Disappointed by rude staff on reception. Hot and cold drink selection was reasonable, the was a lack of food beyond a handful of pre-packaged snacks. The room was peaceful, the WiFi worked fine but I’d not re-visit.
A quiet, but very basic lounge.
