The Caral VIP Lounge at Lima’s Jorge Chavez Airport is the only lounge within the domestic area of the terminal. The club functions primarily on a pay-in basis, with memberships available for frequent travelers. It also welcomes members of popular lounge access programs such as Priority Pass and Lounge Club. The club belongs to the Caral network of lounges which spans Peru and Mexico.
The lounge can be difficult to spot at a first glance. Make a right immediately after security towards the retail area, and look for a discreet entrance nestled between the H. Stern jewelry store and the adjacent restaurant.
Caral VIP Lounge LIM design
The Caral VIP Lounge occupies a small and narrow space, with seating for a few dozen customers at most. The club lacks windows and is totally devoid of natural light, yet the high ceilings and indirect lighting make the ambiance tolerable. The focal point of the design is the bar, which is flanked by a dining area, and a small seating area in the back.
Overall, the design is rather utilitarian and unremarkable and the décor minimalistic, though the space is functional and relatively quiet compared to the concourse, when it’s not too busy. At peak times, however, finding a seat can be challenging.
Power outlets are available in the rear seating area, while they’re unfortunately missing in the dining zone.
Caral VIP Lounge LIM amenities
A small buffet area offers a selection of cold cuts, mini hot dogs, olives, bread, chips and crackers. If you’re looking for healthy fare, you’ll want to take a pass, though the drink selection is much more appealing in this regard, with a choice of fresh juices.
Complimentary soft and alcoholic drinks are available from the bar, as well as espresso drinks.
By the entrance is a tiny kids’ corner with a few games. We’re not sure of the practicality of the space, which isn’t physically isolated from the rest of the lounge, but it’s a nifty idea.
For grown-ups, the lounge offers a couple of shared computers. And given the size of the lounge, it’s worth pointing out that a shower as well as two bathroom stalls are available.
Caral VIP Lounge LIM bottom line
Overall, the Caral VIP Lounge at Lima international airport is a rather basic lounge, which delivers on the key essentials such as a place to sit away from the busy concourse, as well as Wi-Fi and free drinks. In our opinion, the lack of space and natural light and the limited food options make the price of admission a questionable value. If you have access through membership in a lounge network, though, the Caral VIP Lounge is a welcome reprieve from the rather unappealing terminal building and a good place to socialize in a bar-like environment.

Overall ratings
There’s only one lounge in the domestic portion of the terminal… it’s small and dark, but drinks are complimentary.
