Flying on flagship business class and they said access was only for first class tickets, despite their rules clearly stating otherwise.

Used the lounge early December, soon after opening. It wasn’t a great experience, far inferior to the old Concorde Room before the amalgamation, I’m surprised and disappointed that they didn’t seem to bring any of the old staff over.

Champagnes were severely lacking, they only had a couple, and the best options (e.g. Krug) were unavailable. I’m back again next week, so hoping for an improvement.

Food was pretty awful, the burger was too greasy to eat, and there didn’t seem to be any snacks to help yourself to other than the slow and inefficient table service.

Ambience in the old Concorde room was lovely, always quiet and elegant, where the Chelsea lounge felt much more brash and busy. I miss the individual booths of the Concorde dining, in the new lounge it’s all open, although as with the old lounge, you can choose to eat from any seat in the lounge, not just the dining area.

The First class check-in area is much nicer than the old terminal though, and security was very quick and painless (we’re Global Entry with TSA PreCheck, which helped).

Overall, I’m hopeful that things will improve as the staff get up to speed, the chefs improve and the champagnes are stocked.

Horrible service. It is better to have self serve than waiting for 30 to 45 minutes for someone to show up and longer wait for ordered items to be delivered. I called one or two persons and they said to be there in a moment, and then never show up.
