At 4,600 square foot, the lounge offers seating for 90 customers. The space feels fresh, with modern and comfortable furniture, side tables and power outlets at every seat, private “cube” like chairs by the windows offering enhanced privacy, and a selection of local art.
The complimentary buffet features a selection of snacks, finger food, soups and salads. Alcoholic beverages are self-serve, and include New Belgium Range, house wines and liquor. A high-end Starbucks espresso maker is also available.
Other amenities include a small business center, a separate quiet zone, and a selection of newspapers and magazines.
The design is decidedly traditional. The club overlooks the atrium and benefits from daylight, but there are no views to speak of. And the old fashioned wood paneling and ceiling tiles won’t turn heads. And the lounge doesn’t have a bathroom.
The new Sky Club is a cost-effective enhancement for travelers which doesn’t intend to be a showcase facility. Yet, the Sky Club meets all basic needs, and offers a solid array of amenities for an airport which remains relatively minor in Delta’s network.

I have ask, as a Delta Skymiles Member for 15+ years – why the policy change on 06/01 where passengers can’t access the Delta Sky Lounge until 3-HRS prior to flight departure?!
Which Is actually only ~2HRS of use: Our flight did not depart until 8PM so we could not access the DSL until 5PM! Now factor in the 7.20PM boarding and time it takes to walk to the gate, we really only had ~2 out 3 HRS of DSL use. Don’t forget the $39 each for two children. Tell me again how is this not a passenger scam?!
I’ve lost count how many times over the years I’ve depended on the DSL for myself and family. DSL has consistently provided an ideal quiet space and safe surrounding for my family to relax before a flight after a busy vacation to catch up on work emails and allow our children to recharge their iPads – not any more.
What upsets me the most is paying for this DSL benefit through my Delta Amex (which has been a blessing for so many years) – only to be informed 1-mo later after renewing my membership there’s been a policy change!
This new policy not only is insular in vision, it’s punishing passengers for Delta’s own overbooking and understaffing of flights which is causing many passengers to seek refuge in the DSL.
If a business such a Delta is having an issue with over crowding in say their sky lounges, maybe said company would investigate impacting factors/causes and craft a resolution rather than upset passengers (especially with children) by turning them away back into noisy crowded airports with limited seating and zero quiet work spaces for those who count on such spaces to do work!
Just as I’m sitting here outside the DSL at DIA writing this, I am hearing/witnessing the frustration from multiple other fellow passengers as they are being turned away!
Delta may want so conduct some surveys in this space as to how this policy is working out for them. Because I for one can’t justify paying a premium for a membership that whittles away it’s passenger benefits.
Time to rethink my airline loyalty.
