Overview

Completely remodeled in July 2019, the Cathay Pacific Lounge at Shanghai Pudong boasts the airline’s acclaimed new design already seen at Hong Kong, Singapore and Vancouver airport among others.

The gorgeously serene decor leverages natural materials, Earth tones, noise-dampening fabrics, stylish furniture, and soft lighting to create a luxurious residential vibe.

The lounge spans over 970 square meters (10,440 square feet) with seating for 305 guests, and features a homely seating area with power outlets at every seat, as well as with an airy open-ceiling terrace overlooking the runway.

The design places an emphasis on privacy with solo chairs equipped with a built-in reading lamp and an individual side table, as well as loungers and ottomans.

Cathay Pacific’s signature noodle bar serves cooked-to-order favorites including dan dan noodles and wonton noodle soup, as well as local specialties such as xiao long bao and Shanghai noodles. Guests may also help themselves from a wide selection of snacks, hot entrees and desserts. A section of wines, liquor, and spirits rounds up the offering.

Note that showers are not available at this location, as the lounge primarily serves customers departing on short flights to Hong Kong.

American Airlines Admirals Club members do not have access to Cathay Pacific lounges unless their ticket or status qualifies.

Had a chance to preview the newly renovated lounge and participated the opening event. Magically same space as before but transformed to a much more interesting space after renovation. Food and facilities had much improved and space has become cozy, functional and comfortable. Wish that they would upgrade the same to Beijing CX lounge too!
