The Marhaba Lounge at Dubai International airport, Terminal 3, Concourse B is one of several pay-in lounges that welcome all passengers for a fee, regardless of airline and class of service. The club also welcomes members of various lounge access programs, including Priority Pass.
While the branding doesn’t make it obvious, the Marhaba Lounge is operated by Emirates, who markets the service as an add-on to economy passengers. There are additional Marhaba Lounges in Concourse A and Concourse C.
Marhaba Lounge DXB design
The lounge is located on a mezzanine overlooking the concourse. On the plus side, it is bright and airy, with expansive views over the concourse and on the tarmac, and plenty of natural light thanks to the airport’s soaring roof and large windows. On the other hand, noise from the concourse bleeds in, and the seats by the edge of the mezzanine feel oddly exposed.
The Marhaba Lounge features an open layout, which, while efficient, is pretty dense and offers little privacy, with pairs of seats and tables juxtaposed next to each other. To the left of the reception desk is a slightly more secluded partitioned off area, which some patrons may prefer.
Seating options include a mix of comfortable armchairs, café style seating, and chair duos with coffee tables. Counter style seating is also available. The seats are comfortable, though access to power outlets is somewhat limited – in lieu of power at every seat, there are charging points throughout the lounge, with the notable exception of the dining area. Most dining tables are decorated with fresh flowers in a luxurious touch.
Marhaba Lounge DXB amenities
The food and beverage selection is a highlight. The buffet area was renovated and expanded in early 2015 and offers a range of snacks, appetizers, cold and hot entrees, and desserts. A wide selection of self-serve soft and alcoholic drinks is available, with premium drinks such as Champagne offered at an additional cost.
Other amenities include showers (available at an extra charge) as well as a selection of newspapers and magazines.
The lounge is open 24 hours a day, and while it doesn’t offer sleeping accommodations, it’s a decent place to stay at for the night. Basic food options such as sandwiches are available around the clock.
Marhaba Lounge DXB bottom line
The Marhaba Lounge at Dubai International airport, Terminal 3, Concourse B is a convenient place to rest before a flight, catch up on work, and enjoy a meal on the ground.
That being said, the bar is high in Dubai, and the Marhaba Lounge doesn’t remotely compare with the Emirates Business Class lounge located a few gates away, even though Emirates is technically behind the Marhaba brand. A nicer alternative, with a creative design and a more private layout is the beautiful Lounge at B club by gate B21, which also welcomes Priority Pass members.
- The exciting views on the tarmac.
- The food and beverage selection.
- The dense seating and lack of privacy.
- The noise from the concourse.

Overall ratings
Large lounge, decent selection of food at buffet, but crowded and feels more like a playground for kids or a family event at McD.
Great buffet, but a rather plain décor and a dense seating area.
