With seating for 156 guests, the Plaza Premium Lounge at Terminal 5 is much more intimate than British Airways’ sprawling lounges, yet features a similar array of amenities.
In a departure from Plaza Premium’s typical window-less locations and dark signature decor, the Terminal 5 lounge boasts floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the runway, white marble and tile, and high-end finishes.
The designers have placed an emphasis on privacy, with high-backed cube chairs, booths in the dining area, and Plaza Premium’s signature honeycomb seating offering business travelers well-appointed semi-private space with a seat, table, power outlet, and individual lamp.
The complimentary buffet features a selection of snacks and hot entrees. A full bar is also available with an assortment of complimentary and paid drinks.
Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, shower suites, and a selection of newspapers and magazines.

Avoid Plaza Premium Lounge at Heathrow T5, it’s a dump – overpriced, overcrowded, and terrible customer service!
I visited the Plaza Premium Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 5 on February 14, 2025, and it was an absolute waste of money. I paid £42 expecting a premium, comfortable experience, but what I got was an overcrowded, chaotic mess that was worse than sitting in the main terminal. Airports are always busy, but the lounge was so packed that I was squashed between people, making it impossible to relax.
The food was awful—completely bland, lukewarm, and not even worth eating. To make matters worse, I had to sit next to people with their shoes and socks off while I was trying to eat. Absolutely disgusting.
I emailed Plaza Premium Group to request a refund, considering the poor quality of the experience, and not only did they flat-out refuse, but they also took ages to even respond. Clearly, they don’t care about customer satisfaction and are happy to charge people premium prices for a subpar, overcrowded lounge.
Avoid this lounge at all costs—you’re better off saving your money and waiting in the main terminal. Plaza Premium should be ashamed of charging people for this kind of experience.
Crowded, but otherwise fine. Basic food and beverage. Not a lot of privacy, contrary to the lounge description.
Really old and worn out. Definitely not worth the wait. Needs update asap. Long wait but plenty of space inside.
