Overall ratings
Not bad, but a long shot from where it could be, especially when compared to what QF are capable of in the first class international lounge in Sydney. The food is OK, there are fresh salads (depending time of day), nice yoghurts for breakfast, and the selection varies by time of day and there’s practically always something nice to nibble on. Usually there’s plenty of seating available, but it can get a bit tight during rush hour.
However, in the first class domestic lounge (which they call business domestic), the absence of proper champagne is inexcusable. The god awful acid reflux instilling bubbles they try to pass off as champagne is revolting. That’s -2 stars for the business, and -1 star for the business / club lounges. Comeon Alan Joyce, it’s not that hard to take that last step, this ain’t JetStar!
This same review applies to all QF domestic lounges (first/business and club) I’ve visited. I’ll post this same review accordingly to each that I have visited in the past 12 months.
Very nice lounge with plenty of seating in different areas.
Good choice of food and beverages is presented at several bars/buffets. There also was a selection of ice-cream available.
Free WIFI, several workstations, choice of newspapers and magazines.
