Overall ratings
Nice modern lounge, nice design. Very large and airy. However this lounge is used by all star alliance airlines so it gets very crowded.
Large food selection
Nice showers, however toilet area too small for size of lounge.
I have to preface this with a big thumbs up for the staff that work at this facility, but that’s about the only thing the lounge has going for it. For a city the size of Sao Paulo, you would have thought Star Alliance could have stepped up their game a little when it came to the departure lounge. GRU Star Alliance lounge is far too crowded, noisy, uncomfortable seating, complete lack of private/quiet workspace, slow internet (I mean 1997 slow…), and a 45min wait for a shower, which was then devoid of hot water and looked more like a public bathroom than a premium departure lounge facility. A poor selection of food and a generally noisy environment led to a 3hr wait for a flight feeling more like 6.
The lounge is bright airy spacious and comfortable. The food is marginal
