The Emirates Business Class Lounge at Dubai Airport, Terminal 3, Concourse C gates C19-C22 is Emirates’ oldest business class lounge, in the original terminal building. It is luxurious in many ways, with fine Italian marble, dark woods, and leather seats throughout. And yet, it is incredibly modest compared to the newer locations in Concourse A and Concourse B, which happen to be the largest business class lounges in the world.
Emirates Business Class Lounge DXB design
The lounge stretches across two levels, with a mezzanine offering additional seating as well as a second dining area. The high ceilings give a sense of space and the large windows let plenty of natural light in, though they’re somewhat smaller than in the newer concourses.
The two levels are laid out in a similar manner, with plenty of cozy, comfortable seating. All seats come with a pillow and side table, and lamps throughout create an intimate vibe. The layout is a tad dense, though, with numerous seats facing each other. However, flights depart from Terminal 1 overall, so the lounge is still likely to quiet and private when you visit.
The lower level features a large, open seating area as well as a small TV area, while the mezzanine level features additional seating and feels perhaps more intimate, with a few ottomans and partitions that carve out smaller spaces. There’s also a smoking zone upstairs, which unfortunately is not enclosed, so non-smokers may prefer to sit on the lower floor.
Emirates Business Class Lounge DXB amenities
The food and beverage selection alone justifies a visit. The lounge offers two dining area, a large one on the ground floor and a smaller one upstairs on the mezzanine level. Both dining areas feature elegant café-style seating, with a flower on every table and discreet but attentive service. When it comes to food, Emirates hits a home run on all counts: presentation, variety, taste, and quality. Healthy eaters will appreciate the fresh salads and juices, while travelers seeking indulgences will appreciate the hot dogs and ice cream. In between is a wide range of tasty international appetizers and dishes. The food is plentiful and constantly replenished, even in the middle of the night. Drinks wise, beer, wine, Champagne and spirits are available, and waiters roam the room to take cocktail orders.
Other amenities include prayer rooms, self-service computers, and charging stations with cables for a variety of popular devices. Showers are located on the upper floor — the facilities are functional, but modest.
Emirates Business Class Lounge DXB bottom line
The Emirates Business Class Lounge at Dubai Airport, Terminal 3, Concourse C gates C19-C22 is a solid business class lounge with an outstanding food and beverage selection. It doesn’t have the glamour or the amenities (such as the spas, kids’ rooms and video game rooms) of the Business Class lounges in Concourse A and Concourse B, and might feel a tad old fashioned. If your flight departs from Concourse C, though, the location cannot be beat and you’ll find a quiet place to relax, freshen up and enjoy a meal on the ground. If you’re allergic to bling, this is also the place to be, as it is lower key compared to the newer lounges — although maybe you shouldn’t be flying Emirates at all!
