The Air Canada Signature Suite at Vancouver airport opened in March 2020. The club is a retreat where Air Canada revenue intercontinental business class passengers may enjoy a full meal prior to their flight. The lounge features both buffet-style dining as well as a complimentary full-service restaurant and a high-end bar.
The Signature Suite is one of the most exclusive business class lounges in the world. A paid, revenue long-haul Air Canada business class fare is the only way to get in: the club is off-limits to customers who redeemed miles or upgraded to business class, guests traveling on partner or code-share flights, and Star Alliance Gold status passengers traveling in Economy. Those customers may use the Maple Leaf Lounge on the lower level.
Designed by Montreal-based firm Heekyung Duquette, the Air Canada Signature Suite Vancouver boasts a custom chandelier, floor-to-ceiling bronze paneling, and high-end finishes such as bar tops made from local stone. The lounge accommodates approximately 100 guests, with 20 seats in a seating area and 80 seats in the dining room. There is also a private dining room for VIP customers. The space overlooks the tarmac and boasts fantastic views of the airport in every direction.
The high-end menu, curated by chef David Hawksworth, uses primarily local ingredients, and includes delicacies such as seared foie gras, Hamachi sashimi, and roasted AAA beef tenderloin. It will rotate seasonally. The three-course meal can be paired with a fine selection of wines, as well as Moet&Chandon Champagne. Guests in a rush may skip the formal dining experience and help themselves from a vast array of appetizers, salads, hot bites, and sweets from the buffet.
The full bar boasts an array of creative cocktails, wines and champagnes, as well as handcrafted espresso drinks.
The Signature Suite is focused on dining. Typical airline lounge amenities such as a business center and showers can be found at the Maple Leaf Lounge on the lower level. Signature Suite guests receive priority access to showers.
