Access rules
The following passengers have access:
- JAL First Class passengers departing on a same-day Japan Airlines flight (+1 guest)
- JAL Business Class passengers departing on a same-day Japan Airlines flight (no guests)
- JAL Economy passengers on a full fare (Y) departing on a same-day Japan Airlines flight (no guests)
- JAL Economy passengers on specific Saver Flex fares departing on a same-day Japan Airlines flight (restrictions applicable) (no guests)
- JMB Diamond, JGC Premier, and JMB Sapphire members departing on a same-day Japan Airlines flight (+1 guest, additional 2 guests with coupons)
- JAL Global Club members departing on a same-day Japan Airlines flight (+1 guest with coupon)
- American Airlines Admirals Club One-Day pass holders. Passes can be purchased for $50 and used at multiple lounge locations throughout on the same day at Admirals Club (no guests)
- American Airlines Admirals Club members (including Citi® AAdvantage® Executive Card card members) (+2 guests or immediate family)
- Alaska Lounge+ members departing on a same-day flight operated by Alaska Airlines or American Airlines.
- Citi® Prestige primary card holders departing on an American flight within 12 hours.
- American Airlines First Class passengers departing on a same-day international fight (+1 guest)
- American Airlines Business Class passengers departing on a same-day international fight (no guests)
- First class passengers departing on a same-day flight operated by a oneworld airline (+1 guest)
- Business class passengers departing on a same-day flight operated by a oneworld airline (no guests)
- oneworld Emerald members (+1 guest)
- oneworld Sapphire members (+1 guest)
Notes:
- Guests must be departing on a flight operated and marketed by a oneworld airline.
- For connecting passengers, lounge access will be determined on the international long haul ticketed flight (either First of Business Class) regardless of the ticketed class of travel on the international short haul or domestic flight.
- American Airlines AAdvantage® members, regardless of their tier status or class of travel, are not eligible for lounge access when travelling solely on North American flights within or between the U.S., Canada, Mexico (except Mexico City), the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Caribbean.For connecting passengers, lounge access will be determined on the international long haul ticketed flight (either First of Business Class) regardless of the ticketed class of travel on the international short haul or domestic flight.
- Qantas airline club members do not have access to American Airlines lounges.

What an amazing little hidden lounge. The official airport map doesn’t list this lounge as an admirals club, nor does the lounge review app recognize it as an admirals club at the time of this review. If you have time, check out this roomy and quiet stop, sitting over the Local restaurant, just to the right after TSA precheck checkpoint 4.

Plenty of seating with nice garden and apron view. Lounge was empty when we entered but quite full when we left.
One self service buffet with basic selection of food including 2 soups, fruits and pastries and non-alcoholic beverages. This area also features restaurant-style seating. Another bar is on the other side of the lounge. Here you can help yourself to beer, wines, spirits and other beverages. Better than the average Admirals Club!
Newspapers and magazines and free wifi – which was very, very, very slow. Also the lounge has a small area for kids and 2 PCs and a printer.
The Admirals Club at Honolulu International Airport is shared with Japan Airlines Sakura Lounge and is located in central lobby of the overseas terminal, across from central security checkpoint and Ralph Lauren retail store, on 3rd floor above Kona Brewing restaurant.
There is a nice garden view.
What sets this lounge far ahead of the pack is the outstanding customer service from the front desk staff. Without asking, they check your ticket and see if they can improve your seat selection. Fantastic!
Hot soups, pretzel mix, sometimes fruit & sandwitches. Self-service open bar!
There is good selection of complementary self-serve soft drinks, beer, wine & spirits. Snacks include soup, cookies, pretzel mix, and pastries.
WiFi, TV, computers & printer, children`s play area. Lots of English and Japanese newspapers & magazines.
