SAS Gold Lounge OSL design
The SAS Gold Lounge features SAS’ signature design, with hardwood floors, clean lines, and large umbrella-like light fixtures which mirror round tables. Plants and decorative items provide touches of colors. Plants and decorative items provide touches of colors, while an electric fireplace projects a feeling of warmth and hominess. The overall design is appealing and exudes a sense of hospitality. Power outlets and USB ports are available throughout.
Communal work and dining tables are available, but unlike the Business Lounge, the Gold Lounge also provides substantial traditional lounge seating with private seats, sofas, and side tables. Work desks are also available, as well as cubicles equipped with self-service Mac computers. Overall the layout is much more open and spacious than on the Business side.
SAS Gold Lounge OSL amenities
The buffet area feels like an inviting open kitchen in a traditional home, with birch wood and a round table. The selection is on par with the offerings on the Business side, with espresso machines, soda fountains, a selection of alcoholic drinks and light fare – cheese, ham, muesli and hard boiled eggs for breakfast, and salads and throughout the day.
Several large and elegant individual unisex bathroom stalls are available, but no showers. A spacious private quiet area is located in the very back.
SAS Gold Lounge OSL bottom line
Overall, the SAS Lounge at Oslo airport is a pleasant, typical SAS lounge with a signature design, comfortable seating, and enjoyable food and beverage options. Note that while the location is convenient to many international flights in the European Shenghen zone, it is a bit of a hike from the non-Shengen area, which is located at the very end of the terminal. Passengers leaving the Shenghen area are advised to leave early and allow time for the walk to their gate and passport control.
- The warm and modern Scandinavian design; the living room feel accentuated by the fireplace.
- The quiet area in the back.
- The lack of credentials check making this lounge effectively available to all Business Lounge patrons.
- The distance from the non-Shenghen gates.

Overall ratings
You enter the lounge via an automatic gate in the business lounge by scanning your boarding pass. Scandinavian interior featuring many different types of furniture and colours. There is a nice view into the departure hall. Plenty of seats were available when we visited.
The self-service buffet features a nice selection of food. Most of it identical to the offer in the business lounge except some additional items like the salmon. Only a very small choice of alcoholic beverages.
Free WIFI, good selection of newspapers and magazines, business centre, phone-rooms, nice bathrooms.
A solid lounge all around, bright and airy, with a number of food options. The best lounge in Oslo.
