The Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge welcomes Singapore Airlines Business and First Class passengers, as well as Star Alliance Business, First Class, and Star Alliance Gold customers. It is one of only two Star Alliance lounges at Hong Kong airport (along with the United Club), where the market is heavily dominated by the home carrier and oneworld member Cathay Pacific.

Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge – Hong Kong (HKG)

Singapore Airlines lounges featuring the “home away from home” design are all strikingly similar. While the clubs don’t have a sense of place—you’re in Hong Kong, but might as well be in Sydney—there’s also something oddly soothing about knowing exactly what to expect: comfort, privacy, and great food.
Adjacent to the lobby is a compact room dubbed “The Gallery”. The Gallery is part of the blueprint of every Singapore Airlines Lounge, and to be frank, we’ve never really understood the concept. There are a few art pieces which are nice to look at, but otherwise the space is rather dark and utilitarian. Perhaps the main advantage of sitting in The Gallery is that it’s quieter than the main area and has less foot traffic.

Keep walking and you’ll pass the restrooms and showers and then reach the main lounge area. You’ll then make a left if you are flying First Class (expect warm smiles, a welcome drink, and a hot towel); otherwise, you can sit anywhere within the Business Class section.
First impressions might be mixed. When the SilverKris Lounge is quiet, the neutral tones, elegant furnishings, and high-end finishes exude an air of timeless elegance. But when it fills up, the club lacks charm. You might notice the bare walls and relatively low ceilings, and feel boxed in. The real issue is the lack of daylight. The SilverKris Lounge Hong Kong has no windows, and the decor, despite its intrinsic qualities, isn’t as attractive in this context.

In any case, there are plenty of seating options. Choose between one of the comfy chairs with a side console and power and USB ports (note that there are no universal outlets), settle in one of the signature high-backed chairs, or create your own little cocoon in one of the productivity pods. A modern interpretation of the business center, the pods are outfitted with a worktable, a power outlet, a reading light, a pillow, and tall partitions for privacy.

Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge HKG amenities
If you’re in First Class, expect a-la-carte dining service with rotating menus and attentive staff. Either way, Singapore Airlines’ food and beverage game is always strong. In the main lounge area, you’ll find a buffet with a wide range of tasty appetizers, cold and hot entrees, and desserts. There is both local and western fare, as well as Singaporean specialties. To accompany your meal, you can help yourself from a variety of juices and sodas, or order a beverage from the bartender.

Should you wish to freshen up, you’ll find spotless shower suites with massaging jets, plush towels, as well as many amenities including combs and toothbrushes. Consider inquiring early, though, as there may be a waitlist at peak times.
Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge HKG bottom line
The Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge at Hong Kong airport is a well-appointed lounge, though it lacks daylight and can be crowded at peak times. The club features semi-private seating options, a generous hot buffet, and fantastic shower suites. It’s a far cry from Cathay Pacific’s sumptuous lounges, but a step up compared to the Plaza Premium Lounges that dot the terminal.
If you wish to visit the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge while flying with United or another Star Alliance member, be sure to allow ample time to reach your departure gate. Many Star Alliance flights depart from gates 60 and beyond, on the opposite side of the terminal.

The Singapore lounge is just okay. The interior is a bit dated and the food was alright, but nothing special. They had some scrambled eggs that looked good, but were all gone
This would not be my first choice for a lounge in Hong Kong. I think some of the food stores outside would be a better choice.
My friend and I had a surprisingly great end to a fun holiday in Hong Kong when we stopped by at the Silver Kris lounge while waiting for our flight. Ms Fong Yin Mei’s professional yet warm and sincere service made our brunch stop at the lounge a very welcoming experience. Thanks again!
One large room with plenty of seating in different areas. Much bigger than the First Lounge.
Self service buffet with very nice food selection. Alcoholic drinks can be ordered at the bar, othere beverages are self-service.
Free Wifi, newspapers and magazines. Small business centre. Restrooms are located outside and are shared with the SQ First Class Lounge.
Great lounge all around with an elegant and swanky design – as long as you don’t mind the complete lack of daylight.
