Overall ratings
Visited very early in the morning, great breakfast options, the most I have seen in any United Club in the network.
If you happen to fall asleep while merely sitting in your own seat (NOT lying down or stretched out onto other furniture), they WILL wake you up! That is unless you’re a white male then they may leave you alone. That was my experience here as a woman of color.
Nevermind that the lounge rules (at the moment) do not list any prohibition against simply falling asleep – after all, we’re travelers, we’re tired, and the new furniture is actually very comfortable. It defies logic and human physiology to expect no one to ever fall asleep? Then to single people out based on race, gender, and other factors? Completely unacceptable.
Physically, the lounge is nice for a domestic airline lounge. The new food selection is good, plenty of space, nice restrooms, showers available. But the lounge is apparently run by former hall monitors and home owners association presidents.
I travel a lot with various airlines, usually not United, and other lounges are very customer-focused and want you to be comfortable. Not so with United, or at least this lounge.
Spacious lounge but customer service when closing was absolutely appalling. I’ve managed airport lounges and plenty restaurants to know a five minute courtesy is perfectly ok. I was in the middle of taking a piss in the female bathroom and an employeee was telling me to hurry up and checked in again 2 minutes later and the time was 10:03pm.
Absolutely ridiculous customer service with no hospitality.
I completely understand they want to go home but to hound women in the bathroom and harass me to leave at the bar when I was delivering my used cups to bars so they do not have to bus them. Whoever is the manager or shift lead of the lounges operation needs to get it together. The attitude is uncalled for and id rather sit at bud lights bar than to contribute to such a rude lounge for my future travels.
